SponsorsSponsorship is a two way street at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds. We definitely need financial support from businesses in both counties to put on quality shows and keep the facility one of the best in California. In return, we offer our sponsors an opportunity to reach thousands and thousands of potential customers. Many of the staff at the fairgrounds come from a small business background and understand how important it is to get our sponsors their monies worth. Take a few minutes to check out our sponsorship Prospectus to see what is available to you and your budget.
Do you have a service or product that could benefit the fairgrounds? Let us know. This is called in-kind investment and we can offer sponsorships for those goods and services. This is an excellent way to show off your business first hand during the many events that take place at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds. If you want to discuss any ideas, call John Steffanic at 530-283-6272 today.
Another year that features the Plumas Sierra County Fair on the cover of the AT&T Phone Book. This year features a gread aerial shot of the fairgrounds. Click on their logo to open the door to a world of information.
Jim & Judi Madden have been long time supporters of the Fair, as well as most every other organization and event in Plumas County! Besides financial support, they help make sure our restrooms run well, and they can do the same for yours. Besides exceptional service, they offer the finest fixtures and equipment. Jot their number down by the phone for your next plumbing issue, or better yet, call them today before any problems to introduct yourself and better understand what they can do for you.
The folks at Whitehawk Golf Ranch have been very generous with their equipment in helping us make our lawns look their best. Golf Superintendent Craig Pearson has travelled to the fairgrounds to give direction and then provided the tools to get it done. Since we are the "Cleanest and Greenest" Fairgounds on the West Coast, what does that tell you about Whitehawk Ranch? The golf course that Craig looks over is constantly listed as one of the top courses in the California. Stunning views and a challenging layout makes Whitehawk stand out. Go shoot a round and tell them you appreciate what they do for their community.

VolunteersThe Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds are the pride and joy of our community. It represents a place where the residents of two counties come to socialize and reconnect. It has successfully supported that role for over 150 years. To make that continue to happen, we need your help. Volunteers help greet visitors to the Fair, they receive exhibit entries, help place exhibits, demonstrate their special skills, and co-ordinate events. All year long they come to paint barns, help repair facilities, plant flowers and rake.
We all have chores to do in our own life, but you can't describe how fulfilling it is to bring the family to the fairgrounds to paint fences or barns. It creates a connection that will last a lifetime. So many people who now have grandchildren in 4H or FFA remember doing projects or helping out at the Fair when they were youngsters. Can you offer a few hours sometime this year? Do you want to organize a work day for your group, family or organization? We'll help with supplies, guidance and if we plan far enough ahead, we might even throw a BBQ for lunch. Call John Steffanic for more information, 530-283-6272, or complete this form. Can you give us a hand?A lot of good people have been asking how they can help out the fairgrounds lately. We appreciate the kind offers, and want everyone to know, the staff here will continue to work above and beyond to keep our fairgrounds the Cleanest and Greenest. If you want to help, we put together a couple of wish lists below. Maybe there's something you can pitch in on. Just give us a call if you want some clarification on any of our wishes.
Thank you all for your support! Equipment Wish ListLawn Mower - our big one is struggling, but Oran keeps patching it up. Small hand mowers are great for tight areas.
Golf Carts - it's nice to have a couple year round, but if we could borrow a few during fair time, it saves us big money. Water Truck - ours has finally gone to that big water hole in the sky. We are looking to borrow one about once a week and during the fair. It can't be too big because it won't fit in the horse arena. Yard Tools - Leaf rakes, garden rakes, shovels, brooms, whatever. These get a lot of action and it takes a toll on them. Squeeze Chute - Some really nice people have been bringing a squeeze chute to the fairgrounds every year for the beef weigh-in. Having a permanant one would be great. Got one out behind the barn? Volunteer Wish ListLandscaping - In the past, we've been able to hire part time help in the spring to help with mowing, weedeating, and general grooming. No more. Maybe a family, club or church group could adopt a section of the fairgrounds, like the gazebo promenade, and help keep it looking sharp. Cleanest and Greenest!
Painting - There are still a couple of projects that could use a few coats of paint. Again, it's not a bad day when you can spend a few hours painting in the sunshine and fresh air, have a BBQ and take some pride in keeping the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds the most beautiful in California! GOLD SPONSORSThe folks at Sierra Coffee and Beverage are supplying our volunteers with cold, clean water this year. They can do the same for you, give Mike or Victor a call at 530-258-2637. Our sincere thanks to them for their generosity.
