Sponsors

Sponsorship is a two way street at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds. We definitely need financial support from businesses in both counties to put on quality shows and keep the facility one of the best in California. In return, we offer our sponsors an opportunity to reach thousands and thousands of potential customers. Many of the staff at the fairgrounds come from a small business background and understand how important it is to get our sponsors their monies worth. Take a few minutes to check out our sponsorship Prospectus to see what is available to you and your budget.

Do you have a service or product that could benefit the fairgrounds? Let us know. This is called in-kind investment and we can offer sponsorships for those goods and services. This is an excellent way to show off your business first hand during the many events that take place at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds.

If you want to discuss any ideas, call John Steffanic at 530-283-6272 today.

The folks at Whitehawk Golf Ranch have been very generous with their equipment in helping us make our lawns look their best. Golf Superintendent Craig Pearson has travelled to the fairgrounds to give direction and then provided the tools to get it done. Since we are the "Cleanest and Greenest" Fairgounds on the West Coast, what does that tell you about Whitehawk Ranch? The golf course that Craig looks over is constantly listed as one of the top courses in the California. Stunning views and a challenging layout makes Whitehawk stand out. Go shoot a round and tell them you appreciate what they do for their community.

Volunteers

The Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds are the pride and joy of our community. It represents a place where the residents of two counties come to socialize and reconnect. It has successfully supported that role for over 150 years. To make that continue to happen, we need your help. Volunteers help greet visitors to the Fair, they receive exhibit entries, help place exhibits, demonstrate their special skills, and co-ordinate events. All year long they come to paint barns, help repair facilities, plant flowers and rake.

We all have chores to do in our own life, but you can't describe how fulfilling it is to bring the family to the fairgrounds to paint fences or barns. It creates a connection that will last a lifetime. So many people who now have grandchildren in 4H or FFA remember doing projects or helping out at the Fair when they were youngsters.

Can you offer a few hours sometime this year? Do you want to organize a work day for your group, family or organization? We'll help with supplies, guidance and if we plan far enough ahead, we might even throw a BBQ for lunch. Call John Steffanic for more information, 530-283-6272, or complete this form.

Quincy Rotary Freshens Up Family Gardens

Picture
Under the direction of Fred Surber, the Quincy Rotary helped in rebuilding the popular Family Gardens in the Floriculture are of the fairgrounds. Fred is the mega-volunteer who is responsible for the thousands of flowers you see at the fairgrounds and around Plumas and Sierra Counties.

Fred "volunteered" his Rotary Club to remove the rotted wood, replace it and paint it. A great example of what a group of people can accomplish over a couple of weekends.

4H Workday Draws From All Clubs

Representatives from all over Plumas and Sierra Counties 4H Clubs came together for a day of painting at the fairgrounds. Trim on several barns, hitching posts and light pole bases were all freshened up with new paint. The kids, and parents, had a fun time, felt great for the effort, and were treated to a BBQ by the Fair staff. More workdays are planned for the Spring. Everyone is invited to work with these wonderful kids, so keep an eye on this website to see when the next event is announced.
