Early Weigh-Ins Are No MoreOne the recommendation of the Junior Livestock Committee, there will no longer be weigh-ins for large or small animals. This is primarily due to the fact there is no longer a rate of gain competition. This should save a lot of time, gas and stress on the animals. Remember, exhibitors will still need to show proof of ownership at least 120 days before fair for beef and 60 days for small animals. The livestock committee will have information on ear tags soon.
A MESSAGE FROM THE PLUMAS-SIERRA COUNTY 2013 FAIR AWARD COMMITTEEDear Plumas-Sierra County Fair Award Sponsor,
The 2013 Fair is just around the corner and the Fair Board Award Committee and the youth of Plumas-Sierra County are hoping for your support with this year’s awards. We would like to “Thank You” for those who have supported the many awards over the past years and to invite new sponsors to be a part of this wonderful opportunity. Without your support and the many volunteers, community leaders and businesses that believe strongly in the value of our youth and the integrity of our County Fair this would be a tougher road to climb. Come out and see us all at the Plumas-Sierra County Fair, which runs August 14-18th and be a part of this great community event in supporting our youth. Please return the bottom portion of this letter with your tax deductable check payable to: PSCF Foundation, 4821 N. Valley Road, Greenville, CA 95947 , by MAY 15, 2013. If you have any questions you may contact Susan Neer 284-7567 or Barbara Butterfield 530-523-3245. Thank You! New Office HoursWe aren't going anywhere! However, we have become creative in covering all our bases. Our new office hours are:
Monday thru Thursday 9am to 1pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday Closed Now, that doesn't necessarily mean we aren't here. We may be out on the fairgrounds raking leaves, helping a customer or shoveling manure. You're welcome to take a chance and come find us, or you can leave a message on the phone, we usually get those checked every day. Sorry for the inconvenience. We put together these dopey little tours of the 2012 fair.
